Below is a sample teacher list for use by DREs, MREs, or RE Committees to coordinate recruitment of volunteer Sunday school teachers. The list below is for a small Sunday school (enrollment of 20 to 70 children). Notice that this small program will use 16 Sunday school teachers per year, plus 3 youth advisors, plus (if used) 5 nursery volunteers.
In this system, volunteers are recruited for a whole year. Four teachers work on each team so teachers are only in the Sunday school half the total number of weeks; a spring project brings in a different set of volunteers, for a total commitment of about 18 Sundays spread out over 36 weeks of Sunday school from September through April. Only two advisors are needed on any given week. Nursery helpers volunteer once a month.
This form was originally created in a spreadsheet, and works very well in an online spreadsheet (e.g., Google Docs spreasheet). Obviously, you will have to adjust this form if you use a semester, trimester, or quarter system.
